IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael H.
Garcia
June 10, 1978 – February 27, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael H. Garcia, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left us too soon on February 27, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on June 10, 1978, in Austin, Texas, Michael spent 44 years of his life in Corpus Christi, where he was a cherished member of his community.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Anna O. Garcia, their son, Michael Xavier Garcia and stepson Trey Ortiz. He also leaves behind his devoted father, Hector Garcia; his brothers, Mark and Richard Garcia, along with their wives; his two nieces and two nephews. Michael is further survived by his grandmother, Anita Gomez, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Michael was preceded in death by his loving mother, Yolanda Garcia; his grandfather, Ramiro Gomez; his grandparents, Manuel and Bertha Garcia; and his nephew, Hutcherson P. Garcia, and cousin, John Michael Flores.
A man of many passions, Michael had a lifelong love for sports, especially baseball. He played for Mary Carroll High School, from which he graduated in 1996, and his love for the game never waned. Whether on the field or off, Michael's enthusiasm and dedication were evident to all who knew him. He was also an avid fisherman, spending countless hours casting his reel in the pursuit of the perfect catch—and the perfect story to go with it. Michael had a passion for comedy shows and loved making quick jokes to bring a laugh or smile to those around him. He also enjoyed listening to his rap music, always with a big grin on his face. For the past 10 years, he worked at Napa Auto Parts, where he thrived on taking charge and going the extra mile for his customers.
Above all, Michael was known for his kindness and generosity. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge with others, making a positive impact on all those around him. His spirit and infectious laugh will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.
A Mass will be held in Michael's honor at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in the near future. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.
Michael's legacy of love, laughter, and service to others will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
