IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Duncan
December 18, 1952 – April 5, 2019
Michael Raymond Duncan, 66, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 5, 2019, after a short but brave battle with cancer. Mike was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on December 18, 1952 to Raymond and Gladys Amy Duncan. He graduated from W. B. Ray High School in 1971. After graduation, he married the love of his life, Julianna Scogin. He also enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country for 21 years earning numerous medals and awards and retired with honors. Mike was stationed in Coronado, California with HC-3 and HC-11 where he worked search and rescue for sixteen years. He proudly served in the Persian Gulf War. Mike was the Scoutmaster for the Boy Scout Troop 111 for many years where his son achieved Eagle Scout and he earned the Scoutmasters Award of Merit. After he retired from the military he moved his family "home" to Corpus Christi, Texas. Mike worked for the T44 Maintenance Program at NAS Corpus Christi for 10 years as a data analyst and then as a component repair mechanic for a total of 23 years. He continued with Boy Scouts and joined Troop 52 where he received his Wood Badge. Mike was a member of the Tribe of Judah motorcycle ministry for many years where he recently earned his 10 year patch and up until the last few years, due to health issues, would ride his motorcycle with his wife all over the country. Mike and Julianna renewed their wedding vows with the Tribe of Judah at the Thunder over Texas Christian Rally in 1999. Mike's journey with Jesus began with his mother's influence and he lived his life to its fullest, his way. Mike loved Jesus, riding motorcycles and Nascar racing. He enjoyed camping, deer hunting, golf, sharp shooting, fishing and boating.
Mike was preceded in life eternal by his father Raymond Duncan and his mother Gladys Amy Duncan and by his in-laws John Scogin, Pete Jones, and Pauline Scogin Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Julianna Duncan and his two children Christopher M. (Damean) Duncan and Jamie A. (Joshua) Sandoval. He is also survived by six grandchildren Christopher, Timothy and Rylan Duncan and Jace, Jarron and Jaxen Sandoval. He is also survived by his sister Lynn Zeuch and several nephews and great nieces and nephews.
