On the morning of April 30, 2024, Merissa "Riss" Yvonne Rodriguez Segovia, 38 went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Merissa put up a fight against cancer, and she fought with strength and grace. She may have lost the battle on earth, but with family by her side, she breathed her final breath and gained the kingdom of heaven.

Merissa was born on October 3, 1985.  She graduated from Moody High School and received her associate degree from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas .

Merissa is survived by her husband, Homer Segovia, her children, Ray Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez, and Isaac Segovia. Her parents, Jose and Mary Lou Rodriguez, and her brother, Paul Rodriguez (Iris Rodriguez). Merissa devoted her life to her family, her friends, and especially her children.  She made it a personal goal to be supportive in all their sports activities. When Merissa wasn't at a sports event supporting her boys, she and Homer were taking the boys to sports events cheering on their favorite baseball teams.

Services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help - 5830 Williams Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 Visitation to begin at 9:30 am with the Rosary at 10 am and mass to follow.  The family would like to invite you to a small reception held at the reception hall at Our Lady of Perpetual Help
