Mercedes G. (Merci) Gutierrez, age 66 went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2016. Mercedes was born on October 11, 1949, to Juan F. Miranda and Maria G. (Martinez) Miranda in Laredo, Texas. Merci was a registered nurse for over 40 years and retired from the Texas Department of Human Services - DADS Program in 2014.
Mercedes is preceded in death by her parents. Mercedes is survived by her husband Rodolfo Gutierrez Jr., sisters: Marta E. Gutierrez (Emilio+), Elba G. Berglund (Ronald Sr.), brother: Juan F. Miranda Jr. (Diana), and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday June 16, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 crosstown exp. Corpus Christi.
