Melvin Pipkins passed away on March 18, 2020 at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was 66 years old.

On July 10, 1953 Melvin Pipkins was born to Gussie Lee Mae Brown and Owen Pipkins in San Antonio, Tx. Melvin was the second oldest child of five, He was also the oldest twin by five minutes.

Melvin grew up in Eagle Lake, Tx from the age of two years old. He attend Rice High School in Eagle Lake. When Melvin became a young adult h e moved back to San Antonio, Where he drove trucks for Sysco, and Later became an employee at the H.E.B Warehouse in the Floral division until His retirement in 2015. Melvin was a very colorful person inside and out, He loved living His best Life. Melvin loved fishing whether he caught anything or not.

Melvin married Judy Davis in January of 2015, and shorty after they moved to Corpus Christi, Texasw where they both joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Family. Melvin was active in the church and joined the brotherhood, He really enjoyed His Church Family. Melvin was a loving Father, Husband, Sibling and Friend.

Melvin first born child name is Kizzie Pipkins. He then had a long relationship with Jackie Rogers and became the proud father of Monique and Shawn Rogers. He was also a proud Stepfather to Carl Duke, Christy Rogers and Justin Davis. Melvin was truly Loved.

Melvin was proceeded in death by both parents, Sister Willie Mae Brown, and Younger Twin Brother Elvin Pipkins.

He leaves to cherish His life: Wife Judy Davis Pipkins, Two Sisters: Esther Staen, and
Gennie Brown. Daughters: Kizzie Pipkins, Monique Rogers, Dyshawn Rogers
Melvin was the proud Stepfather to: Carla Duke, Christy Rogers and Justin Davis. Melvin has 15 Grandchildren, 12 Nieces and Nephews. He also has a host of Cousins.

Public Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. til 12 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church , 1605 Comanche St. Corpus Christi, Texas 78401

Visitors must enter the sanctuary (10) people at a time , in accordance with the State of Texas guidelines as we all work to combat the spread of COVID-19.
