Melissa Jean Gonzalez, age 55, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on February 3rd, 1966 in Alice, Texas to Servando and Sylvia Gonzalez.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and friend that loved to sing and enjoyed spending time at the beach. She had a vivacious personality and an infectious laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and her presence would light up the room.

Melissa loved many things in her life, but there was only one thing she loved more than her Jeep, and that was her son. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost that treasured her son, and cherished every moment with him.

Although no longer with us, her memory will continue to live on in our minds and our hearts.

Those beach sunsets and painted skies will forever be a subtle reminder of the love and light she poured into our lives everyday of knowing her. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her father, Servando, her four sisters Mari, Ronnie, Yvonne and Melanie, and her son JohnRay, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and countless family members.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother Sylvia.
