Melinda P. Garcia-1975-2025
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, and Sister
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Melinda P. Garcia, who was tragically taken from us in an accident on September 14,2025. Her departure has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Melinda was a devoted mother to her two sons, John A. Garcia and Justin A. Garcia, and her beloved daughter, Melanie A. Garcia, all of Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a proud and loving grandmother to John A. Garcia III ("BJ"), Jayson M. Garcia, Jomanuel Garcia, and her cherished princess, Azalynn L. Garcia. Born in Brownsville Tx and raised in Corpus Christi Tx, Melinda was the beloved daughter of
Antonio and Lydia Portales, and sister to Antonio Portales III and Mark A. Portales( Samantha), and numerous nieces and nephews all of Corpus Christi.
Melinda lived life with joy, passion, and an unwavering love for her family. She had a deep love for music and dancing - always the first to get up and move to the rhythm - and she brought light and laughter wherever she went. A proud and lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, she could always be counted on to cheer for her team with heart and pride. Those who knew Melinda will remember her for her kind soul, radiant smile, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her strength, laughter, and generous spirit will never be
forgotten.
She was deeply loved and will be forever missed. As we bid farewell to Melinda P Garcia., we do so with gratitude for the time we shared with her and the countless memories that will continue to bring smiles to our faces. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life well-lived and a lady deeply loved. May she rest in peace, knowing that her legacy of love will endure forever.
