Matthew Juarez 25, was granted his angel wings on April 17, 2016. His final days were surrounded by family and friends that he touched in some way throughout his life. Matthew was born on July 24, 1990 in Corpus Christi, TX. He is a graduate of Mary Carroll High School class of 2009. Matthew was formerly employed at Chick-Fil-A, Kids Footlocker, and was currently the store manager for Footaction. Matthew was a loving son, brother, nephew and cousin. He will be remembered by his love of dancing, playing basketball, his Jordan shoe collection, his beautiful smile and the love he had for his family and friends.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at MD Anderson and at Bay Area Heart Hospital 4-tele, Altus Hospice and everyone who prayed for the family during Matthews short battle with cancer.
Matthew is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Valentina Juarez and Gilbert Juarez Sr. His brother Jonathan and his niece and nephew Stephen Anthony Jr and Arabella. He is survived by his loving parents Steve and Rosemary Juarez, His brother Stephen (Sabrina Garcia)Anthony Juarez Sr., his girlfriend Cecilia Villareal and her son who he loved as his own Jesse (Cheuy) Valdez, Maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Lopez. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic church, 2509 Nogales/MacArthur and a Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral procession will depart Guardian funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church.
