Mary F. Welch, went to be with her Lord and Savior March 3, 2017. She was 78 years old at the time of her passing. She was born July 13, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI to Frank and Alberta (Carrigan) De Sio. Mary was educated in Milwaukee at Mother of Good Counsel school, Messmer high school, and Marquette university School of Nursing ('59).
For over 20 years she has played a vital role in the community serving as a Registered Nurse at Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline. She was instrumental in organizing the parish nursing program at Christus Spohn and an was active at St Paul the Apostle parish in FLour Bluff. Mary was an avid member in the Incarnate Word Associates of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.
Mary is survived by her husband, Gary Welch of Corpus Christi; their son, Lance Welch of Portland, OR; her sister Catherine (Robert) Van Domelen of De Pere. WI , niece Carole(Tim) Clark of De Pere, nephews, David and Scott(Michelle Acton) Van Domelen, cousins and many friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held in her honor Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Flour Bluff. 2233 Waldron Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78418.
