As we mourn the loss of our sister Frances, we can't help but think of what a beautiful paradox she was. She was small but had a giant personality. She was funny with an infusion of wit and sarcasm. She was sensitive and thick-skinned. She reveled in family gatherings but enjoyed her privacy. She had 3 master's degrees and preferred reading Dean Koontz. She loved games but hated losing. She had a nomadic heart but was anchored in her family roots. She would put aside her own struggles to help you in yours. Her support was the one unequivocal thing about her. You never had to question whether she'd be there for you because she always was. Rest in peace, our sweet Sissy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Guardian funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest with her parents at the San Pedro cemetery in Odem, Texas.
