Corpus Christi , TX
Mary Helen Flores, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Entered the Kingdom of GOD Saturday March 23, 2013 in a Corpus Christi hospital following an illness. Mary Helen 75 years a native of Corpus Christi, Texas was born August 25, 1937. Mary Helen was very active with her church and enjoyed praying for others. Mary Helen was strong in her Faith and instilled the continued prayer with all whom asked to be led to the LORD.
She was preceded in death by her father Alejandro Gonzales and her mother Maria Lucia Gonzales.
She is survived by her loving husband Atanacio Flores (Tito), two sons, Johnny (Blanch) Fernandez, Edward Flores (Esmeralda), four daughters: Jeannie (Fred) Vela, Dorothy (Joel) Salazar, Sandra Soliz and Denise Elizalde. Mary Helen was Blessed to have 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews
MAY THE WORK I'VE DONE SPEAK FOR ME.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Guardian Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Most Precious Blood Catholic church, 3502 Saratoga. Interment will follow at The Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery, 9974 IH37 access road.
