Mary Ann Chavez passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 56. Mary Ann was born on December 10, 1967, in Sinton, Texas to Hilario Chavez Sr. and Santos Guerra Chavez.

Mary Ann lived in Sinton for most of her life. She graduated from Sinton High School in 1986. She always had a passion for the medical field and was an EMT in 1985 for 20 years. She attended Del Mar College where she graduated as a registered nurse in 2005.  She worked at a local hospital in Corpus Christi for 10 years where she made a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues alike. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and mother. She enjoyed spending her free time going to the bingo, watching movies, and hanging out with her daughter, sisters, and friends.

Mary Ann is survived and will be forever missed by her daughter Meighan Salinas (Mario), Sisters Esmeralda Gonzales, Rosa Chavez, Irma Morales, Beatrice Chavez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Hilario Sr. and Santos Chavez, and her brothers Hilario Chavez Jr. and Ruben Chavez.

Mary Ann will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature, her love for her family, and her passion for nursing. She will be greatly missed by all who know her.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14th at Guardian Funeral Home from 10am-1pm with a Chapel Service Beginning at 12pm .
