Martha Sue King, age 66, died of complications from cancer on June 10, 2016 in Corpus Christi, TX.

Martha is survived by her 4 children, Eric Severa of Sinton, TX, Gretchen Simmons of Austin, TX, James Severa of The Woodlands,TX, and Melissa Keen of Houston,TX; her 4 grandchildren; her 4 siblings Charles Allen , of Corpus Christi, TX, Paula McDonald of Grapevine, TX, Curtis Allen of Corpus Christi, TX, Kathy Walter of Bedford, TX, and their families.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Leddie Pauline Allen, and her husbands, John Edward Severa and Charlie Lloyd King.

Martha was a deeply spiritual woman and a member of Yorktown Baptist Church. Her devotion to family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Martha was the consummate caregiver, always putting others before herself. She had a kind, generous heart that enabled her to recognize the beauty and worth in everyone who encountered her. She enjoyed singing, music, but most of all, time with family and friends. Her family and friends will always remember her as "the best person we know".

A viewing/visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 13, 2016 from 5-7pm at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, S.H. 286, Corpus Christi, TX, 78417. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10am at Yorktown Baptist Church, 5025 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX, 78418, a short reception will follow until noon. Burial services will be at 1pm at Seaside Memorial Park, 4357 Ocean Dr., Corpus Christi, TX, 78412, in the Eternal Light area, directly behind the main building and main parking lot. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Martha's life.
