IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Edward
Smith
November 9, 1967 – February 10, 2025
Mark Edward Smith, aged 57, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, February 10 2025 , Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was born on November 9, 1967, in Pensacola, Florida, to Carol Hale-Smith and Ronald Smith. Mark was a hard worker. He provided as much as he possibly could for his family. He was a great cook at Town and Country Cafe, everyone looked forward to his omelets and chocolate chip blueberry pancakes!
Mark's favorite hobbies were fishing, sports, music, and art. If he wasn't yelling at the top of his lungs for the Steelers or Pittsburgh Penguins, he was fishing with family. Mark also loved animals ,from snakes and fish to cats and dogs, he really was a true animal lover. I'm sure he's reunited with his best companion, Hulk, a devoted chihuahua who lived up to his name.
Mark truly lived his life the way he wanted with his friends and family; drinking a Bush beer while jamming Pantera or Metallica ,fishing with his kids, creating art out of odd things he found in nature.... he was an original and always true to himself.
He is survived by his wife, Diana, his three kids, Dominique , Mark and Kory ; and many more family and friends who loved him so much.
Family, friends and others whose lives connected with Mark's worldly journey, is invited to the Guardian Funeral home in Corpus Christi, located at 5922 crosstown access road, at 2 pm on Monday, February 17, 2025. There will also be a celebration of life that will be held at the family home , located at 6218 Wimbledon in Corpus Christi, Tx , on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 7pm Let's come together to support each other and celebrate Mark with our favorite stories and memories .
In the words of Metallica, "Life is ours. We live it our way" and that's exactly how Mark lived, true to himself, living life on his own terms.
