Marion Louise Smith passed away on August 21, 2013. Louise was only weeks away from her 90th birthday. Louise grew up in Refugio, Texas. Louise was married in 1944 and lived in Corpus Christi for the next 70 years. She was an active member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, Flower Basket Garden Club, Corpus Christi Bonsai Club, boy scout den mother. Louise was an avid gardener, cook and antique dealer.
She is preceded in death by her husband Warren Neil Smith, her parents Walter and Effie McCoy, brother Walter McCoy Jr., two sons Neil and Lionel and grandson Spencer Smith.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca (James) Rainey, granddaughters Jennifer (Clay) Clemmer and Sarah Burkhart. Great grandchildren, Trenton and Tallon Clemmer, Spencer Smith and Madison Mudd. Her late son's wife Janie (Frank) Hargrave, her late grandson's wife Tammy (Paul) Mudd. She will be greatly missed by her family, her many wonderful longtime friends and the very special friends at Trinity Towers where she spent her final years.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Luke's.
A memorial service celebrating Louise's life will be held on Saturday August 24, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Methodist Church 3151 Reid Drive, Corpus Christi.
