Maria E. Zamora was 76 when she entered the kingdom of heaven with our heavenly father September 26, 2015. She was born on October 22, 1938. She trusted the word of God wholeheartedly. She believed in prayer and blessing her children and grandchildren daily. Her faith was incredible and the forgiveness she showed was immeasurable. She was an excellent cook, care taker, unbelievably humble, and loved giving godly advice. Her smile alone could light up a room.

She had 11 children and is preceded in death by three of her sons, Jesse Zamora Jr, Eduardo Zamora & Geronimo Zamora. She is survived by her children, Diana(Adam) Escamilla, Pedro(Janie) Zamora, Daniel Zamora, Patsy(Paul) Aguayo, Martin Zamora, Jose Leon Zamora, Paul(Adrianna) Zamora & Elizabeth Z. Guerra. Also, her many many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her sisters Maria Avila, Natalia Pequeno, and her identical twin sister Teresa A. Garza.

Her children would like to take this time to thank Dr. Georgia McCann & Dr. Kevin Hall, along with her GYN/Oncology team for the excellent care given to their mother. The staff at University Hospital in San Antonio Texas also played a huge part in that excellent care. We will forever be thankful to you all!

Maria will be missed by all who loved her. The family relies on the word of God and His promises of seeing her again! Amen!
Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary and Celebration to begin at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic church, 2509 Nogales/MacArthur. Burial will follow at Rose HIll Memorial Park.
