Maria Nelda Torres passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born to Jose and Francisca Torres on September 12, 1939 in Raymondville. TX.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Francisca Torres, brothers Jose, Ramiro, Juan and Miguel Torres and her sister, Sofia Rendon.  She leaves behind 2 brothers, Francisco and Reyes Torres, 2 sisters, Eduvina Ochoa and Dora Rivera, as well as several niece's and nephews.

Nena, as her family lovingly called her, started working at a very young age.  She worked at Gates Donut Shop for over 35 years.  She was very devoted and loyal to the Gates family.

Services will be on September 12th at St Thomas Moore Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 9am and Memorial Mass will be at 9:30am. The Interment will follow at Memory Gardens at 11am.
