Maria J Sanchez, 70 was called home by our Lord and Saviour on Oct 4, 2017. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She will always be remembered for her kindness, her prayers, her praise and worship and above all her strong faith in the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and spiritual mentor. She was preceded by her daughter Veronica Sanchez and her parents Francisco and Catalina Garza. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Juan Sanchez pastor of Lighthouse Ministries, her children Melissa Sanchez-Diaz (Buddy) and Victoria Sanchez, Isabel Mirelez (Ralph). Her brothers and sisters Facunda Reyna, Osbaldo Garza, Grace Garza, Dalia Garza, Abel Garza (Oralia), and Francisco Garza Jr. ( Minnie), Grandchildren Armando Martinez (Maggie), Isaac Diaz, Buddy Diaz III, Matthew Sanchez, Lilliana Hernandez, Cristina Avina (Jimmy), Jaclyn Lerma, Zane Mirelez; her great grandchildren, her nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 5pm on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 at the Guardian Chapel "A" with a prayer service to be held at 7pm that evening.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Guardian Chapel with Pastor Juan Sanchez officiating burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
