Maria De Rosario Canales Muniz aka Rosario Canales Muniz was Born on August 22,1954 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas and passed away on December 21,2022 in Corpus Christi Texas.

At the age of 13 was brought to Corpus Christi Texas.  Maria Attended Cunningham junior high school, she went onto Foy Moody High School where she graduated at the top of her class 1973.She was president of the National Honors Society. She pursued a career in the nursing field, she attended Del Mar college and worked at Mont Carmel Home as part of the kitchen staff.

She then met the love of her life Mauro W. Muniz married him in the summer of 1977 Later on she worked at Hagars for 9 years where she did seamstress work. Had 2 children while working there. Years later she started working at Tuloso Midway ISD late 1988. Started off as the school crossing guard then she moved up to the transportation department as a bus driver for 33 years. During her time there she would go on to help out other departments within the districts. From kitchen aid, to custodian work in the evenings, to being a ticket taker at the local games, volunteering to help little league custodial duties. Wherever the school district needed help, she would always be there.

Maria is Proceeded in death by her husband Mauro Wilburn Muniz, her Mother Benita Munoz Rocha, her Brothers Luis M. Munoz and Manual Rocha Jr.

She is survived by one daughter Laura Lisa Canales Muniz (Sergio) of Corpus Christi Texas,  her son Gabriel Mauro Muniz(Dana). Grandchildren Delilah Lorraine Serna, Layla Elaine Sera, & Vander Ridge Muniz. Brothers San Jacinto Canales (Gloria), Romeo Canales(Vicki), Juan Rocha, Eddie Rocha. Sisters San Juanita Guevara, Rosa Maria Rocha.

Public visitation will begin on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Guardian funeral home Chapel with a Service to Celebrate Maria De Rosario's life to begin at 6:30 p.m .
