Maria D. Rodriguez (Marines), 70, of Corpus Christi, Texas, entered eternal life on Thursday, March 10, 2016.
She was born in Roma, Texas on December 3, 1945. The daughter of Miguel and Guadalupe Marines.
Maria worked in the food service industry for many years prior to becoming a homemaker and helped to raise her grandchildren.
She enjoyed dancing and watching novelas. Above all her family was the most important thing to her.
Together she and Rene Rodriguez had five children. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Eloy Rodriguez, Cynthia (Jose) Argotti, Leticia (Kristin) Rodriguez all of Corpus Christi and Ruben (Denise) Rodriguez of Austin. Her surviving siblings include, Elva (Luis) Gonzales, Miguel (Diana) Marines Jr., and Estella Sierra of Corpus Christi, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rene Rodriguez Jr. and her parents Miguel and Guadalupe Marines.
A rosary to honor the life of Maria will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery
