Maria Guadalupe Reyes, 88 was called home Saturday, May 20, 2023 "Sabado de Gloria", surrounded by her family.

Maria was born on December 10, 1934 to Paula Sustyta and Manuel Gonzalez.

An incredible matriarch Maria was quick witted and had a keen sense of humor. At a young age, she worked in Brownsville Texas to help her family. She married her husband and moved to Port Isabel, Texas, where they started a family. Years later they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and added to their family. With seven children there was never a dull moment in the Reyes household. As a grandmother, Maria made sure no grandchild, left her house without money or candy in their pockets. She had the most generous heart and was always willing to help any family in need. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maria's dedication to God and her faith will never be forgotten. No amount of words can't express how deeply she will be missed by her loved ones.

Maria has joined her husband, Tomas, infant daughters (twins), her sons, Roland and David and grandson Jacob. And her parents, Paula and Manuel Gonzales, her stepfather Leopaldo Edward Deprado in heaven. Along with numerous family members.

She is survived by her sons, Tomas Reyes, III, Edward (Shari) Reyes, Victor(Lupita) Reyes, Carlos(Ilaria) Reyes and her daughter, Angela (David) Silvas. 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren . Her beloved chihuahua "Chula" whom she loved very much as well as Bear and Houdini. Also leaving behind are numerous kitties she saved.

Maria's ashes will be spread with her husband, son, and grandson in a private ceremony. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Corpus Christi Medical Center, Bay Area, Corpus Christi Rehabilitation Hospital, and Angel Bright Hospice for their excellent care of our mother.
