Maria Estela Olivares, 85, of Corpus Christi, Texas entered the gates of Heaven on March 6, 2024. She was born on May 30, 1938, in Corpus Christi, to Frank Sr. and Estefana Mirabal.

Estela was a loving mom, Na-Na, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend and will be deeply missed. She was a graduate of Roy Miller High School and loved to celebrate her Alma Mater, GO BUCS GO! Estela was a faithful believer in Christ, she prayed daily for any and everyone that she encountered. She retired from the Corpus Christi State School in 1989 and was an dedicated Bunco player with her Bunco girls for over 25 years. Our hearts are saddened with the loss, but we have peace knowing she is resting high in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank Sr. and Estefana Mirabal, brothers Frank Mirabal Jr. and Daniel Mirabal Sr., nephew Daniel Mirabal Jr., niece Mary Christine Martinez, and son-in-law Bruce Lee Wimp. She is survived by her daughter Roxanne Wimp, son Rudy Olivares Jr. (Nora), 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, her brother Ted Mirabal Sr. (Norma), sister-in-law Teresa Mirabal, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Services will be held at New Life Church on Thursday, March 14, 2024 ; Immediate family viewing will be at 10am, visitation at 11am, and services will start at 11:30am. Reception to follow at Villa Maria 3146 Saratoga Blvd.
