Maria Reyna Espinoza, 71, died peacefully surrounded by family on February 6, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Maria was born January 6, 1950 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Asencion Torres Cruz and Estefana Limon Segura.

Maria was known as the "guerrera" (warrior) of the family. Family was everything to her. She will be remembered for the love, care, strength, and comfort she provided day after day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Asencion Torres Cruz and Estefana Limon Segura, and siblings, Ignacio Torres Limon, Aurelio Torres Limon, Guadalupe Torres Limon, and Julia Torres Limon.

She was survived in death by her five children: Maria Santos (Jorge) Ramos, Gilbert (Veronica) Espinoza, Rene (Melissa) Espinoza, Jose Eduardo (Joyce) Espinoza, and Gregorio Espinoza; her eight grandchildren: Luis Carlos (Beatriz) Ramos, Stephanie Ramos, Jorge Ramos, Jasmine Marie Espinoza, Alex Ramos, Ariel Nicole Espinoza, Alexis Renee Espinoza, Sebastian Asencion Espinoza; her six great grandchildren: Harley Jade Ramos Soliz, Rodolfo Azua Jr., Kaylee Aliyah Azua, Leia Rae Ramos, Maria Isabella Azua, Scarlett Rebekah Grace Cordell; her brother Jose Torres Limon, sister Hermila (Ciriaco) Guardiola Torres, Juana (Pedro) Segura Torres, María Antonia Torres Limon, her 35 nephews and nieces and numerous great nephews and nieces. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, 540 Hiawatha St. at 8:30 a.m.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill cemetery.
