Maria Edelmira Montemayor
1934-2023

On May 6, 2023, Mara E. Brown, age 88, was eternally reunited with her loving Husband Roy L. Brown.
Maria was born in Aguilares, Texas on August 9, 1934, to Indalecio and Guadalupe Montemayor.

On May 1, 1953, she married the love of her life, Roy Lee Brown. worked at the Laredo Airforce Base as a registered nurse until 1973. In 1973 they moved to Flour Bluff, Texas where she continued her civil service working as a supply clerk at Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas until she retired.

Maria was a devoted Wife, Sister, Mother, and Grandmother. Maria is survived by her sister Rosentina Montemayor, daughter Nadine Grabowske and Harry (Wally) Grabowske III. Grandson's: Jeremy Brown, Harry (Wally) (Cassandra) Grabowske, Justin Brown (Brianna Brown), Lyle Green Jr, Joshua Brown, and Jayden Brown. Grand Daughter's: Jessica Justice (Jacob Villarreal), Melissa Gonzalez, and Jennifer Green. Maria is also survived by 28 Great Grand Children.

Maria is proceeded in death by her parents, Indalecio and Guadalupe Montemayor, husband Roy L. Brown, daughter Mildred Spadafore, Son Edward (Eddie) Brown, and Grandson John Roy Justice.

Maria will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband at Duncan Cemetery and children, followed by a memorial service with her family.
