Maria Elena Armijo Mireles, at 79 years of age went home to join the Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was born at Chapman Ranch, Texas on December 17, 1938 to Juan Armijo Sr. and Romana Martinez Armijo. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Jose Armijo, Pete Armijo Sr., and Janie Escamilla. She is survived by her only child Veronica Armijo-Garcia(Macario, Jr.) of San Antonio, Texas, her granddaughters, Erin & Lorenn Garcia, her siblings, Lupe Liendo, Blanca A. Garza, John Armijo, Amelia Garcia, Alejandro Armijo, Frances DeLuna, Richard Armijo, and Gloria Armijo, and many loved nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Guardian funeral home chapel "B" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic church, 2509 Nogales/MacArthur. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
