Maria Elena Aguilar age 62 passed away peacefully on January 27 th 2017 with family by her side at Angel Bright Hospice in Corpus Christi TX, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Maria Elena was born March 2 nd , 1954 in Corpus Christi, TX. The daughter of Jose Antonio Sauceda and Teresa Mirelez. She was the oldest of 15 brothers and sisters. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a love for arts and crafts, sewing, playing bingo and could spend a whole day the local Good Will Stores where she would shop for others in mind. Maria Elena was always a loving and giving mother/sister and would always put others needs before her own. Maria Elena loved and lived for her family and be greatly missed by all who's hearts she has touched. Maria Elena is survived by her sons Heverto M. Davila II and Domingo Davila Jr. and her daughter Marie Isabel Davila. Maria Elena leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Joe Arnold Sauceda, Josie Reyes, Vicky Mendiola, Terry Liscano, Gary Liscano, Gina Salguero, Johnny Liscano, Roland Liscano, Janet Sparks, Ruben Liscano, Rudy Liscano, Richard Liscano, Martha Sauceda Simcik, and Minerva Sauceda. Maria Elena also leaves behind 10 grandchildren Dezaree Garza, Marissa Garza, Mylan Barrientes, Diego Barrientes, Sarah Gonzalez, Shelby Limon, Yzabelle Limon, Lorenzo Davila, Gilbert Davila, and Phillip Davila and 4 great grandchildren Christiian Gonzalez, Nikolai Gonzalez, Juan Ramirez Jr., and Jacob Garcia. Maria Elena is preceded in death by her father Jose Antonio Sauceda and daughter Evangelina Sauceda Davila
Visitation for Maria will begin Tuesday, February 07, 2017 at Guardian Funeral Home in Chapel A from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Wednesday, February 08, 2017, a Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. with the burial to follow at Seaside Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m.
