Margarita "Mage" H. Saldaña, 85, peacefully journeyed home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2023, surrounded by her family.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mage's life was a testament to unconditional love and selflessness. Her love knew no bounds, and this was evident in the care and devotion she showed her family. Mage's kitchen was brim with love and delicious aromas. Her legendary enchiladas, one of her family's favorite dishes, was not just a meal that filled the appetites of her family but also a tradition that brought them together every Saturday for family lunch, creating lasting memories of shared meals and laughter. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were truly the sparkle in her eyes.

She was preceded in death by Luis Saldaña, the father of her children, Mage is survived by her son,
Ruben (Nelda) Saldaña, and daughter Veronica (James) Ysaguirre, along with her four grandchildren: Bobby Muñoz (Veronica), Ruben Saldaña Jr., Monica Saldaña, and Marc Muñoz (Veronica), and her two great-grandchildren, Iliana Muñoz, and Olivia Muñoz. Her devotion to her siblings, Andy (Minnie) Herrera, David (Elida) Herrera, Del Vera, and Mela Castro, was unwavering. They shared a special bond, often spending hours on the phone exchanging stories and laughter.

Mage is also survived by a very special niece, Janie Rusek, who she loved very much. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to friends and family whose support provided comfort and strength during Mage's final days. Your daily calls and texts showing love and support were a source of consolation.

A Public Visitation will be held at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 28, 2023, starting at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer service at 6:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue Friday, December 29, 2023 , at the same location, Funeral Procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 11:00am at Memory Gardens Cemetery .

Her life was a testament to faith, echoing the sentiment of 2 Timothy 4:7:
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

While we will miss our mother very much, we find much comfort knowing that she is resting
with her Lord and Savior.
