Obituary

Margarita Pompa, a beautiful woman of unwavering faith and boundless love has gone on to be with our Lord in heaven on February 3, 2025 at the age of 84 after a long and unrelenting fight for life.

Margie, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a long time member of Southcrest Baptist Church and spent her life caring for others whether it was in her home, work place, or someone the Lord placed in her path. There are many who can attest that she gracefully opened her heart without hesitation to anyone in need, offering advice, support, and a comforting presence. Those who knew her will remember her for her beautiful radiant smile, her dedication to her family and friends, her compassionate spirit, her deep-rooted faith In Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to all who she encountered. She had a rare gift for making others feel loved and supported which brought hope and comfort to countless lives.

Her life on this earth was a true example of what our Lord Jesus wants us to be like, full of love, compassion, and unshakable faith in God. She was a Godly matriarch and a faithful servant, and knew full well the glory and hope of Jesus and His gospel, and that in the end He is worth it all! Knowing this inspired her to fulfill her life's purpose to do all she could to instill this blessed knowledge in everyone and anyone that had the honor of knowing her. One can only hope to have a fraction of the faith that she abundantly had for so much of her life. She had a profound and lasting impact on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her and because of all this we can undoubtedly say that she truly made the world a better place and was our angel on earth. Although Margie's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her faith, testimony, and her memory be a blessing to us all, and may we further her mission to bless others in all that we do, just as she did. As she continues to worship Jesus in heaven, her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

Margarita was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 4, 1940, and is survived by her Sisters Katy Lowry, and Janie Sandoval, half-sisters Viola Reed, Cindy Gonzalez, and Esperanza Moreno, half-brother David Gonzalez, and Margie's four children: Joe G. She is preceded in death by Arnold
Pompa Sr. (husband), Elizabeth Gonzales (mother), Carlos Gonzales Sr. (father), Carlos Gonzales Jr. (brother), Sylvia Benavides {half-sister}, Amos Soto (nephew), Carlos "Charlie" Gonzales (nephew), and Arnold JaMason Pompa (grandson). To My Beautiful Momo:

God looked down and saw your face, So full of love and light, He's called you to a peaceful place, Where you'll no longer
have to fight,
Your time on earth was gentle, And your spirit warm and true, And though we feel the loss today, We know God has
welcomed you,
He saw your path was weary, The road to steep to climb, So he wrapped you in his loving arms, And gave you rest divine,
We'll always have the memory, Of all the love you gave, And find comfort in your new found joy, Which we will cherish
every day,
In life we loved you dearly, In death you're forever in our heart, Today is not goodbye but merely, We'll see you soon
and never part.

Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12th at Guardian Funeral Home from 10-1pm with the Chapel Service to begin at 1pm . Burial will be at 2:30pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park .
