Margarita Cortez Gonzales, age 72, passed away November 14, 2024. She was born on March 10,1952 to Jesus Cortez and Maria Alvarez Cortez in Brownsville, Texas. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and attended West Oso High School.

Maggie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Maggie was always ready and willing to help others. She had many talents and passions. She had a green thumb, bringing life to everything she planted and sharing that gift to others. She loved to decorate her
home for the different seasons. She was also a gambler, loved to travel to different casinos. She was a great woman, who was deeply loved by so many. Her strength and resilience will be forever remembered. Maggie brought so much joy to her family with her unconditional love. Always sharing her stories, ideas, and positive thoughts. Those cherished moments will be treasured forever.

Maggie is preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Gonzales and her parents Maria and Jesus Cortez .

Her legacy will live on through her three children, Maria Louisa Rojas, Enrique Andres Galvan III (Becky), Eric Galvan. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren who all adored her in their own way. She also leaves to cherish her memory with 5 brothers, 1 sister, Aunt, and
numerous cousins. We will always carry her spirit in our hearts.

Family will start to receive visitors on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Guardian Funeral Home starting at 5:00 p.m with Chapel Services to begin at 6:30 p.m
