Margaret was called to her heavenly home on November 22, 2017, after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer, at the age of 77. Marge was born May 18,1940, to Edward and Dora Wendt in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was baptized on June 2, 1940, and confirmed on April 11, 1954, at St. John Lutheran Church. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1958.
Marge loved life! She was happiest when sharing time with her family, her many friends, and working in her garden. Other favorite hobbies included fishing, card games, and traveling. She especially cherished her mother/daughter trips. It made Marge most satisfied to serve her Lord in helping others.
Marge was a faithful and active member of First United Methodist Church where she served in a variety of volunteer capacities. She most enjoyed singing in the choir.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years William (Bill) Graeber, daughter Denise Schwierzke (Bill) Smith, step-daughters Jill (Bruce) Barre and Jan Graeber, grandchildren Mindy (Jason) Diebel, Eric (Stephanie) Smith, Lindsey (Mark) Hendrix, Steven Lane, step-grandchildren Brent Barre, Derek (Shanna) Barre, Holly, Matt, and Paige Gibson, great grandchildren Taylor and Hunter Diebel, Tanner and Talon Hendrix, and step-great grandchild Rilyn. She is also survived by her sister Judy (Jim) Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marge is preceded in death by her parents, sister Liz Urban and daughter Pamela Schwierzke Lane.
As requested by Marge, she wanted everyone to know, "All is well with my Soul." What a beautiful Soul indeed!
A celebration of life service will be conducted at First United Methodist Church/Shoreline on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 3 pm. Memorials may be given to FUMC, Christ in the Arts, Bread of Life Pantry, Altus Hospice Corpus Christi, or the charity of one's choice.
