Margarita "Weetie" Helena was born to Herman Eldridge Drinkard, Sr. 31, and Rosella Fannie Pruitt 25 on May 12, 1939, in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Her father would affectionately nickname her "Reetie" and those that could not pronounce it correctly, called her "Weetie" and it became permanent.

Margaret attended Holy Cross Catholic High School and was a lifetime member of the church.

In 1957, Margaret was married to William Patrick Rollins, Sr., and from that union, William, Jr., was born.  Later in 1965, she married James Shiner, and moved to San Diego, California.  Through mutual friends, she would later meet William Jeter 1975 and they married.

She began working at an early age, due to the untimely death of her father in 1947, as a waitress.

Professionally, she worked for the University of San Diego in the food service department as a manager, and moved on to work for the City of San Diego, where she retired from her job as a social worker.  In 2002, Margaret moved back to Texas to care for her ailing mother.

Later, she proclaimed her retired job was BINGO—where she found joy. There, she was free to call the shots; she enjoyed every moment! She also enjoyed traveling and attending jazz/blues festivals.

Margaret answered the Lord's call to sweet rest, and she moved from this earthly walk of life on May 1, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nona Johanna.

She is survived by her son, William Patrick "Rickey", her brother, Herman Jr., her grandchildren, Alonna and Patric, and 6 great grandchildren,  Terrance, Terrion, Prince, Aaliyah, Aalayah and Damien, her niece Stephanie, nephew, Michael (Jewel), cousins, other family members and loved ones, as well as her beloved Bingo family.
