Marcus Gil Escobar, age 30, passed away January 14th, 2025 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born April 26th, 1994 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Gilbert Escobar and Cyndi Michelle Escobar.Marcus attended school in Calallen, Texas and was in the graduating class of 2012.

Marcus had a love for fishing, going to the gym, and always enjoyed the fine qualities of life. He had a gift in the water, always catching trophy fish and sporting friendly competition between fishermen. The water was his haven and his church.
Marcus had a divine love for all of his children and also enjoyed to hang out with his friends; he had never met a stranger in his life. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him and his big energy. He will be remembered for his beautiful hazel eyes, his perfect set of teeth, and infectious personality. Marcus loved to enjoy laughter between himself and others as he never tried to take life too seriously. Marcus' beliefs of his afterlife was always present and he is believed to be soaring in the great waters of Heaven fishing in the radiant sun.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cora Andrea Serrano; aunt, Mary Katherine Walrath; grandfather, Isaias Montez; mother of his son, Audrey Davis.

He is survived by his grandmother, Oralia Montez; grandfather, Arthur Serrano and Arthur's wife, Kelle Clark Serrano; father, Gilbert Escobar; mother, Cyndi Michelle Escobar; two sons, Julian Escobar, Madden Escobar; two daughters, Marlee Davis, Madilyn Escobar; two sisters, Kristen Escobar, Amber Escobar; two brothers, Micheal Escobar, Justice Escobar; nephew Leelan Lucio, and many cousins and extended family.

The celebration of the life of Marcus Gil Escobar will be held on Monday, February 10th, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at Solid Rock Church, 4922 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78413
