CORPUS CHRISTI – The family of Marcos De La Garza III announce his death at the age of 57 on
Tuesday evening August 31, 2021.
Marc was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1964 to Marcos and Mary Helen De La Garza. He was
very proud to attended and graduate from Foy H. Moody High School where he enjoyed being on the
Tennis team. Marc worked in the food service industry during his high school years thru to 1996. In 1996
Marc started a career in the oilfield structure building industry. He worked for a few companies, Gulf
Marine Fabricators, Kiewit Offshore Services, Flour, and EMAS before returning to Kiewit offshore
Services.
Marc enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching sports, to Bar-b-que, attending Church, participating in the
Men's Group and spending time with his family and friends.
Marc fought a Long battle with Congestive Heart failure before succumbing to its effects.
Marc is proceeded in Death by his mother Mary Helen De La Garza, father-in-law John C. Velasquez,
grandparents Moises and Florentina De La Garza and Andres Elizondo.
He is survived by his wife Adrianna De La Garza of 27 years, son Marcos Adrian De La Garza, dad Marcos
De La Garza Jr, mother-In-law Angelita Velasquez, brother Richard (Jill) De La Garza (nephews Richard,
Joshua, and Noah), brother Ronald (Stacy) De La Garza (niece Laura, and nephews Alex, Joseph, and
Jason), brother-In-Law John (Lisa) Velasquez (niece Sydney and nephew Tiger) and honorary niece
Samantha Garza. Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, at Guardian funeral home chapel

with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, at St. Pius X Catholic Church 5620 Gollihar Rd. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
