Manuela G. Perez
October 10, 1950 – January 4, 2026

Manuela G. Perez, 75, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, surrounded by love.

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Manuela lived a life rooted in family, resilience, and devotion. She was a woman of quiet strength and unwavering love, giving endlessly of herself to those she cared for. Her greatest joy was her family, and her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

Manuela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andres H. Perez Sr.; her parents, Pablo and Maria Guzman; and her cherished grandson, Antonio 'Tony' Ibarra.

She is survived by her children: Melissa Perez; Andrez Perez Jr. (Velma); and Angelita Ibarra (David Palacios). She was a proud grandmother to Jerry, Justin, Jerissa, Jennavie, Ashley, Matthew, Miranda, Miriah, and Mirina, and a loving great-grandmother to twenty-two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close.

Manuela will be remembered for her steadfast love, her dedication to family, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her love remains woven into the hearts of those who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Justin Winterroth, Jerry Winterroth IV, Matthew Pereida, Rudy Riojas, Richard Vela, and David Mesa.
Honorary Pallbearer: Eric Guzman.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Trinity Hospice for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during Manuela's final days.

Public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Holy rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Guardian funeral home with a Funeral procession to depart at 8:45 a.m. to Holy Family Catholic church for a Funeral Mass that will be Celebrated at 9:15 a.m.  Burial will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery 9974 I.H. 37 North Access Rd.
