Manuel Rodriguez, 60, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.  He was born on February 11, 1957 to Rafael and Eva Rodriguez in Corpus Christi, Texas where he lived his life.  He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Rafael Rodriguez, his son John Adam Manuel Rodriguez, and his brother Ralph Rodriguez.  Manuel leaves behind to cherish his memories, the love of his life wife Gloria Rodriguez who he fondly called Cora short for corazon, his son Manuel Rodriguez Jr (wife April), daughter Dolores Perez (husband Gilbert), daughter Gloria Nicole Romero (husband Gilberto) and eleven grandchildren. He also leaves behind eight siblings: Fry, Mario, Paul, Nancy, Janie, Anna, Rosie, and Sylvia.  Manuel was loved by all his family, all his brother and sister in laws, and lots of friends who became his family.  In his early years, he was self employed and worked in construction.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He had a friendly smile, a sense of humor and made friends everywhere he went.  He loved meeting new people and would talk to anyone.  He had a giving nature about him and he helped anyone in any way he could.  He was cherished by his family and loved by all who knew him.  Visitation will begin at 4pm Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Guardian Funeral Home chapel A with a Rosary Service beginning at 7pm that evening.
