Obituary

Manuel Galvan Jr., passed away at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Manuel was known by his friends and family as a profoundly hardworking man, and an incredibly devoted single father to his three sons, Christopher, Michael, and Manuel III. He was known for his loyalty and unwavering work ethic and was an admired & respected employee at Golden Corral Restaurant for 30 plus years. He constantly said during his illness: “I have to get back to work” evident of his loyalty to his co-workers and employer. He was rewarded for his dedication by being recognized several times throughout his career as “Employee of the Month”. Manuel was also known as “Mr. Fix-it” because he would say “I can fix anything” and he could!

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, Andrea and Manuel Galvan Sr., his brothers, Roger and Ruben Galvan, and his son, Manuel Galvan III.

He is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Reynaldo, Ricardo, Rafael, and Carlos Galvan, and his sisters, Yolanda Garcia, Irene Galvan, and Lorraine Williams.

He will be dearly missed and remembered by his family, friends and co-workers.

A hope that we share and look forward to is in the Bible book of Isaiah 26:19, it is a profound prophetic promise of resurrection and restoration, declaring that God’s people who have died will live again, with their bodies rising from the dust to shout for joy.
