Obituary

Lydia Irene Jasso Pena entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 7th. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
Born in Corpus Christi to Delfina and Eusebio Jasso on May 24 1947. She is preceded in death by her father, Eusebio Jasso, sister Graciela Gonzalez and son Roland.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jose "Joe" Pena, mother Delfina Serna Jasso, daughters Jennifer Pena and Deborah Pena, grandchildren "the joy of her life" Alynna, Pete, Emery, Justyne and Amirah. Sisters Alicia S. Jasso, Diana (Joe) Leija, Eva (David) Gonzalez. Brothers Eusebio , Arnold (Alicia N.), Luis (Linda), Steve (Betty), and Robert Jasso.
Family Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm on Ash Wednesday, February 10th. Public Visitation at 5:00 pm and the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. All taking place at Guardian Funeral Home at 5922 Crosstown.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5620 Gollihar followed by interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. To honor Lydia, Robert Jasso, Luis Jasso, Jr., Armando and Michael Vasquez, Henry Pena, and Ernesto Pena will serve as Pallbearers
Honorary Pallbearers, Brothers Eusebio (in absentia), Arnold, Luis, and Steve Jasso.
The family wishes to thank her "Guardian Angel" Dr. James Walker and his Nurse Linda Cardenas with Corpus Christi Medical Associates for all the special care, attention, concern for
for her well being, arrangements made at LIFECARE in San Antonio and consistent follow ups.
