Luisa G. Vega, 97, was called home peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 5, 2021. She was born in San Diego, Texas on August 19, 1924 to the parents of, Federico Gonzalez and Herminia Resendez Salinas.

She was Wella to whom ever she met, she loved bingo, playing poker, casinos, Dallas Cowboys, and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Manuel Vega; her son Rafael Vega; two daughters Luisa Vega and Veronica Vega; one grandson Gilbert Navarro Jr.; her parents Federico Gonzalez and Herminia Resendez Salinas; her sister Elvira Gonzalez; and two brothers Ramiro Gonzalez and Ernesto Moya.

Luisa is survived by three sons, Lorenzo Vega (Mary) Juan Manuel Vega (Edna) Federico Vega (Bernadette) all of Corpus Christ,Texas; Six daughters, Herminia Gonzales (Carlos) Maelena Canales (Santos) Adelaida Soto (Arturo) Amelia Pena (Gustavo) Martha Olga Cavazos (Fernando) all of Corpus Christi, Texas; Elda Robledo (Gilbert) of Laredo,Texas; 38 grandchildren; 131 great grandchildren; 40 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at The Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas with a Holy Rosary at 5:30 p.m. that evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 at S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with the Burial to follow in San Diego Cemetery in San Diego, Texas.
