Luis Uballe Jr., 77, was born in Corpus Christi, TX, on August 13, 1948, to Luis Uballe Sr. and Hilda M. Uballe. He passed away on November 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father Luis Uballe Sr., brothers Gilbert Uballe and Michael Uballe, a son Luis Uballe III, and great-grandson Caleb Torres.

He is survived by his mother Hilda Uballe, his loving wife Mary Alice Uballe, son David Uballe, daughters Priscilla Uballe and Monique Arellano, grandchildren Stormy Montes, Mia Montes, Ashlynn Uballe, Luis Uballe IV, Averie Uballe, and great-granddaughter Evangeline Torres. He also leaves behind two brothers, Ernest Uballe and Eugene Uballe; two sisters, Patricia Uballe and Linda Uballe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and friends.

Luis volunteered to serve during the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ticonderoga in 1968. He traveled the world and served his country well in Vietnam. After his Navy service, he worked for the City of Corpus Christi's water department and continued to serve his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. National Guard from 1984 to 1994. After retiring from the City and the National Guard, he moved his family to Rockport. Retirement didn't suit him; we all know he always had to stay active. He went to work for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department from 2004 to 2021.

Luis was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. His hobbies included watching classic science fiction movies, collecting baseball cards and coins. He loved Star Trek and enjoyed playing strategy board games and computer strategy games.
Despite these interests, his love for family and friends was greater. His passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, touching many lives along the way. We ask that you remember him not for how his life ended, but for how it was lived and the profound impact he had on others.

His celebration of life will be held on Tuesday,  December 16, 2025 at Guardian Funeral Home at 12:00 noon.  Family will begin to accept visitors at 10:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at The Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery 9974 I.H. 37 North Access Rd. at 2:00 p.m.
