Obituary

REST IN PARADISE

In loving memory of Luis Noyola who took his final breath on April 1st 2025 at the age of 63. Fitting for a Father who loved to spend time with his daughters, dogs, friends and family often to an open BBQ pit where everyone was always welcome.  A hardworking, reliable father, husband, brother and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Micaela; daughters, Maria, and April; brothers and sisters: Valentine, Hilario, Leticia, Guillermo (Billy), Alma Rosa, Daniel (Danny), Norma Linda, Miguel (Mikey), and Concepcion (Connie) who will continue to honor his legacy.

GROWING UP

Born Thursday, August 24, 1961 to Josephina Munoz and Valentin Nayola in Brownsville, Texas. Growing up with 7 siblings; Luis and his brothers and sisters moved from Brownsville to Houston in 1969 then again to Corpus Christi in the Summer of 1972 adding a few siblings along the way to a total of 10 children. The family settled in Corpus Christi where they still reside.

CAREER & HOBBIES

A math whiz, a builder and a jack of all trades; master of one. Luis spent over 30 years dedicated to erecting metal buildings and warehouses across Corpus Christi and the South Texas region. Primarily working with Bloch Construction for about 25 years, he also worked with his (late) brother Narcisco at Haeber Roofing. In his youth he held several jobs to include janitorial services with CCISD. Luis was a handyman who truly enjoyed working with his hands to create. Often finding creative yet effective solutions to problems when in a pinch. After his retirement in 2019 he continued working with friends and his daughter April on several private contract buildings and structures. When he wasn't working in the Texas Summer's heat or unexpected cold, he loved to BBQ and relax with family and friends. Grilling the best fajitas, "yard bird," shrimp, fried tripas and other proteins; always feeding any friend or family that would stop by without hesitation. The only rule being- 'No Fighting.'  "Lou" also enjoyed playing dominoes, card games and was a great billiards player. Hosting many game nights and BBQs throughout the years at his home. He was a rock-n-roll fan and an animal lover who adored his dogs. Many times, you could find him outside with his dog(s) Domino woodworking or cutting sheet metal for various projects. He made anything from metal carports, rain gutters, storm shutters for windows to wood tables and swing benches.

FAMILY

In 1980 he met his wife, Micaela Martinez, at the Los Encinos Park through an introduction from his sister Norma. They moved in together with his family in 1986. In 1988, as a gift for her May Birthday he purchased a home by Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church and the Molina Veterans Park. In 1990 they welcomed their first-born, Maria Antonia. Two years later their second daughter, April Ann, completed the family. The Family enjoyed the outdoors. Traveling to several parks and zoos to include Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville and the San Antonio Zoo. They also frequented kite flying, skating or feeding the ducks and birds in downtown Corpus Christi at Cole Park, Peoples St T-Head's Norma Urban Park or the "Goose" Park- West Guth.

Dad remained an upfront and honest man; never afraid to speak his mind. Instilling a strong sense of work ethic, pride and respect in his daughters; we learned to always be self-reliant and to stand up for what we believed in. In support of his wife, Micaela, her cancer diagnosis and organ transplant, he retired from working full time during the Global COVID Pandemic but continued to support the family. In March 2024, Luis was diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. Unbeknownst to him he had lived with several masses in his lungs and kidneys that eventually spread to his heart. After a year of chemo treatments, doctors appointments and countless medications he took his final breath in the comfort of his home. A tough man with sincere intentions he fought hard until the very end; wanting nothing but peace for his family, encouraging everyone to take better care of themselves. You are at peace now.

You will forever be missed and your legacy, lessons and love will live on in every person you impacted.

Love You Forever.
