Luis Caballero Jr., 57, of Corpus Christi, TX went to join his parents in heaven on May 6, 2017 and will continue to watch over his family. He was born on July 17, 1959 in Robstown, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis Caballero Sr. and Lupita Tanguma Caballero.
Luis is survived by his former wife and best friend, Nancy Ramirez (David); and his loving children, Shawn Luis (Savanna) of Corpus Christi, Matthew Jon (Katie) of San Antonio, and Candice Marie (John) of San Antonio.
Luis was a fun, loving, jolly man, always making conversation and friends with everyone he met. He loved barbecuing and spent his time cooking tasty meals. You would often find him at his home playing fetch with his pitbull, Guero. Luis enjoyed fishing, going to Padre Island and Mikel Mays. He worked for the City of Corpus Christi until his medical retirement. Luis' most prized possession in life were his three children whom he adored. As a devoted father, he financially supported his children's college education and taught them many important life lessons; the value of family, life and hard work. He was always a jokester, making jokes even when he was ill. We will strongly remember Luis' passion for Rock & Roll, ZZ Top, Bad Company, and Led Zeppelin. He was an avid watcher of reruns of Sandford & Son, Three's Company, Married with Children, and the Die Hard Movies.
Luis had a strong relationship  with his Lord and Savior, praying several times a day for others. He was always there to help someone, he would give you the shirt off his back.
He will be deeply missed and remembered by his big smile and hearty laugh as well as his generosity. His memory and life lessons will always remain in our hearts. Our pops will be our guardian angel near, forever by our side, until we see him again.
