Lucy Alexandra Parker, age 20, our beloved daughter, sister, and friend unexpectedly passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born September 21, 1992 in Pensacola, Florida. She attended Flour Bluff High School and graduated from Pensacola High School where she was a valued member of the drama club. Most recently she was employed at the Flour Bluff Walmart in Corpus Christi. Lucy planned to attend college and one day become a counselor.

Her spirit is carried on by her mother, Betty Ruth (Day) Parker of Pensacola, Florida, her sister Kathryn (Eric) Andreas, and her sister Rebecka Parker, both of Corpus Christi, her dear uncle George Russell of Pensacola, Florida, and her best friend, Amanda Smith, of Corpus Christi, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Lee Parker, her paternal grandparents Hobart Charles and Doris Parker, her maternal grandparents Thomas and Fay Day, and her beloved aunt, Nancy Russell.

Her family wrote: 'Lucy referred to herself as 'brilliantly awkward' and this describes her perfectly. She was a quirky, passionate, and enigmatic young woman. She was funny, unique, and above all, genuine. Lucy was unequivocally one of a kind, and will be profoundly missed by all those who knew and loved her.'

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. at the Guardian Funeral Home at 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78417.
