Louis R. Siller, age 86, of Corpus Christi, passed away on 06/17/16 after a lengthy illness. Louis spent the early part of his life in San Antonio, Texas until enlisting in the United States Army where he served our Country in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Louis retired after 20 years of military service and returned with his family to San Antonio, Texas. In 1976, they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where Louis went to work for and retire from the United States Civil Service at the Naval Air Station - Army Depot, Corpus Christi.
While stationed at the US Army Base in Ansbach, Germany, Louis met and married his loving wife Inge and together they shared 54 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, son Orlando G. Siller and partner Bourke Behrend; daughter Hannalore Motes and grandsons Stephen and Brandon; his son David J. Siller and daughter-in-law Jacquelyn and their children, Alexis, Cali and CJ; and a brother Danny Siller of San Antonio, Texas. In place of flowers, the family asks that one bestowes an act of kindness to a family member, friend, or neighbor. A service will be held on June 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery where Louis will recieve the full military honors he so bravely earned as a United States Veteran.
