Louis Garcia Jr., age 92, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born on November 8, 1932,  to Luis and San Juana Garcia in Nordheim, Tx.

On June 27, 1954, Louis married the love of his life, Emma R. Garcia, and together they shared 67 years of a beautiful marriage filled with faith, love, and family.

A devoted businessman, Louis owned and operated several local businesses in the community, including Sparkling City TV & Appliance, Gulf Gas & Service Station, Garcia's Factory Furniture Outlet, and Garcia's Holiday Tours. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and to serve others.
Louis was a member of the Corpus Christi Lions Club, President of the Port Ayers Shopping Center and was elected by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as "Business Person of the Year" in 1984.

Louis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He was a loving father to his six children. His devotion to the Virgin of San Juan was unwavering, and he was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Corpus Christi Cathedral. He was a strong believer in prayer. Louis faithfully prayed every day the Angelus Prayer, followed by the Holy Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Pieta Prayer book.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Emma R. Garcia; his loving daughter Sylvia G. Mitchell and his parents Luis and San Juana Garcia; his sisters Josefita, Eulalia, Catalina, and Petra; his brothers Matias and Pedro.

Louis is survived by his children Criselda G. Aguirre, Tony Ray Garcia, Mary Lou Valdez (Rogelio), Irene G. Viera (Michael), Elaine Gomez (Ruben), his sisters Cecilia Benavides, Janie Martinez, Pauline Sepulveda, and Pura Gonzalez. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish his memory.

Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Aguirre Sr., Michael "Miko" Viera, Rogelio "Roy" Valdez Jr., Matthew Viera, Darian Garcia, Edward Aguirre Jr., Eric Ortiz Sr.

Honorary pallbearers include Matthew Garcia, Sebastian Aguirre, Marcos Guzman Jr., Nathaniel Aguirre, Samuel Garza, Jacob Garza, Rogelio Valdez III, Ryan Valdez, Eric Joseph Ortiz Jr., Frank Joseph Aguirre, and Joe Daniel Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Louis Garcia Jr. will be remembered as the heart and foundation of his family—faithful, hardworking, and full of love. His legacy will live on in all those whose lives he touched.
