Obituary

Lorraine Allen Fulton was born on January 4, 1929 in Blue Springs, Alabama to her parents James Allen and Ara Grace Brown.

On October 14, 1953, she married Jack Fulton in Chickasaw, Alabama. In January of 1961, they welcomed their daughter Kathy. In the late 60's the family was transferred to Corpus Christi, Texas. Lorraine went to Del Mar College where she became a Registered Nurse. She then went on to attend A&I University where she received her master's degree in counseling. Lorraine worked for decades at Spohn Shoreline as a lead Nurse in Labor and Delivery. She also dedicated 20 years of her life to MHMR as a nurse and counselor before she finally retired.

After her retirement, Lorraine and Jack often traveled the world. They toured Europe and Jerusalem, and even went to Las Vegas.

At the age of 77 years old, Lorraine was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Jack asked their daughter, Kathy, to move in and care for her. Kathy could not have done it without the love and support from her children Sheena and Shane Smith, including grandsons Xavian and Kempton Sambrano.

Lorraine was the best cook and cake decorator there ever was, she also had a green thumb and grew the most beautiful flowers, plants, and fruit. She was patient and the most generous person ever. Lorraine unconditionally loved her family and was always there for everyone she knew. Lorraine would put her whole heart in everything she did and her family.

Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, neighbor and pet owner. Lorraine was everything and she will forever be missed and always be loved and never forgotten.

Lorraine is proceeded in death by her loving husband Jack, who was cremated and will be buried together with his adoring wife, Lorraine. Also proceeded in her death are her parents, sisters, brothers, and pets.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter Kathy who held Lorraine in her arms as she took her last breathes, granddaughter Sheena Smith (Austin) and her grandson Shane Smith (Lauren) her precious grandsons Xavian and Kempton Sambrano, all of Corpus Christi. She also leaves behind her sister Bernice Wynn of Rocky Head Community, Alabama and Nell Peters of Ozark, Alabama, many nieces and nephews.

We love you Mother.
