Lorenzo S. Gonzalez, 66, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2014, and is lovingly remembered by his wife, Corina Jimenez Gonzalez and by his brother Agustin, of El Paso, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Lorenzo was born in Corpus Christi on August 10, 1948. He graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1966 and went on to earn a B.S. in general engineering from Texas A&M, Kingsville in 1973. Lorenzo was self-employed under LG Engineering for several years. He also worked with PSI, Inc. as Department Manager of Geotechnical Services, Branch Manager for Maverick Engineering, and for the City of Corpus Christi as Building Official and Building Code Engineer. .
Lorenzo enjoyed photography and traveling to the Texas Hill Country
Area and visiting State and National Parks.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd. with Burial to follow at Memory Gardens cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd.
