Lonnie Joe Simons, 63, passed away October 20, 2014. He was born in Austin, Texas on July 26, 1951 to Bill & Edna Wallace Simons. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his children, Michelle Simons Breaux, Joshua Simons, Jared Simons and Seth Simons, siblings, Mildred Beningfield, and Dannie Simons, grandchildren, Dylan Simons, zane Simons, Aidan Mikulenka, Kensington Mikulenka and Effrum Simons. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at Heritage Baptist Church, 5217 Yorktown Blvd. with Services beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery. 9974 IH 37 access rd.
