IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lonnie Andrew
Serrata
October 28, 1969 – July 18, 2022
Lonnie Andrew Serrata, 52, passed away on July 18, 2022. He was born in Corpus Christi on October 28, 1969 to Ramiro Serrata and Palmira Frame. Lonnie considered both Corpus Christi and Houston Texas his homes. He attended Langham Creek High School in Houston Texas. Lonnie's passion was music, bikes, skateboards, and video games. He had a deep love for family; often visiting "old neighborhoods" where the family had previously lived; just to reminisce. Lonnie was a "jokester", always finding humor in everything in life. He was notorious for never taking serious photos; always making faces before the camera!
In the late 1980's, the family relocated to Houston, Texas, forcing him to end a relationship he had with a girl in Corpus Christi.
Many years passed before fate brought them back together again. The last few weeks of his life were filled with an inexplicable joy. Words could not describe his excitement over their reunion, nor his eagerness to begin a new chapter in his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramiro Serrata and Palmira Frame, Step-mother Victoriana Serrata, Stepfather William (Bill) Frame, a brother Lee Alfred Serrata, and a sister Laura Jean Foster.
He is survived by daughter Hannah Marie Serrata, a brother, Larry (Yolanda) Serrata, and sisters, Linda Kierych, Lydia Garza, Sandra Arteaga, Michelle Barbosa, Christina (David) Avalos, Angel Serrata, and Kassandra (Phoenix) Maggiore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Although he will be dearly missed, Lonnie's battles on this Earth have finally come to an end and he is now "Home". We have the promise that one day we will reunite with him and all our loved ones…….
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Service to Celebrate Lonnie's life to begin at 11:00 a.m.
