Lois Aari Mauk- Kleinmann, 80, longtime Ponca City resident
passed away Wednesday September 13, 2017. She was born
on July 19, 1937 in Luther, OK to Seaf & Bertha Mae
(Cartwright) Lowther.
Lois recently moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. She grew up in
Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in
1955. She and her husband, Lyle F. Mauk were married on
Aug. 28 th , 1959. Together they had two sons and three
daughters.
She is a member of Albright United Methodist Church in Ponca City. She was the girls Camp
Fire leader for many years. She enjoyed sewing projects, cooking for church functions and
other church activities. Lois worked as a retail sales clerk for many years.
Lois is survived by her three daughters, Mary Branch and husband Brian of Burbank, Oklahoma;
Karen Brooks and husband Michael and Pamela Creacy and husband Michael of Corpus Christi,
Texas; one sister Janice Clinton and husband Larry of Ponca City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren
- Tara Owens, Jana Branch, Annie Wiechman, Dustin Hollingsworth, Levi Thomison, Tommy
(Paul), William, and Gwendolyn Creacy; ten great grandchildren; and many other family
members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Seaf & Bertha Mae (Cartwright) Lowther; her first
husband of many years and the father of her children, Lyle F. Mauk; her second husband Wade
Kleinmann; her 2 sons William Aaron Mauk and Russell David Mauk; and two grandsons
Christopher Lewis and Lyle Douglas Hollingsworth.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him
should not perish but have eternal life".
Although we know Lois will be with the Lord and the family that has gone before her she will
not be forgotten and will be dearly missed by those that remain behind.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 am, September 29 th , 2017 at Albright United
Methodist Church in Ponca City. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
