Lois (Smith) Brown
Corpus Christi, TX
Lois (Smith) Brown 96, walked that golden staircase with angles on both sides guiding her to the next journey on Thursday, March 28, 2013. She was born May 29, 1916 in Taft, Texas to Albert and Mantie Smith. She went to college on a scholarship in San Antonio, Texas and worked there as a bookkeeper, upon retirement she moved back to Taft to help care for one of her brothers, Carl Smith. After his death she moved to Regency Square Apts., in Corpus Christi where she lived for 20+ years.
She is survived by son, Robert Brown of Seattle, WA.; sister, Lola Waters of Kerrville, TX.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and one lucky great-niece-in-law who got to spend lots of time with her in the last five years. Many thanks to Sharon and the loving staff at Altus Hospice along all those who made her life easier this past year.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., on April 19, 2013 at Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX.
